We met Michelle and Rob this past fall in Sedona when they were first starting their planning process, and we immediately fell in love with both of them.  They’ve been together since high school, and through the years have developed a strong bond.  They way they laughed and interacted with each other was so sweet and we were so delighted when they choose us as their photographers.  This past weekend, Michelle and Rob got married in the snow and sleet in Sedona!  The couple choose the beautiful L’Auberge de Sedona for their venue and were married by the creek on a snowy and rainy day.  Kudos to Classic Party Rentals and Laura at Heart of Sedona for arranging for a tent at the last minute which kept all the guests and wedding party warm and dry.   While Northern Arizona is a spectacular place to get married, the weather can be unpredictable so having a planner and dedicated wedding team is very important.

In a cottage overlooking the ceremony site, Michelle, her eight bridesmaids and three flower girls pampered themselves with professional hair design by Patricia Vega of Petite Salon and makeup by Michelle’s friend, Marissa,  from Phoenix.  The girls looked absolutely gorgeous!

Just as the ceremony started, the rain really started to pour.  But, no one even noticed as they witnessed these two beautiful souls exchange vows.  Andrew from Heart of Sedona, was the officiant, and delivered a sweet and sentimental ceremony that was heartfelt and meaningful to all their friends and family.

After the ceremony, we whisked Michelle and Rob up Schnebly Hill for some gorgeous photos of them in the snow.  I know they had to have been freezing, but this sweet couple never once complained.

I love these photos of Michelle.  Michelle, I know it was so cold, and wet, but who gets a bridal portrait like this?  You are simply gorgeous!

The reception, at the ballroom of L’Auberge, was decked with elegant details in red, ivory and black.  Bliss Floral designs simple and elegant centerpieces that looked fabulous!  Michelle’s twin sister, Lauren, gave a speech that had us all in tears.  But, when the time came to dance, the crowd eagerly joined in!  Bobby of Sedona Sounds kept the party going all night and it was a lot of fun getting so many great dancing photos!

Mia and Charlie met when they were both teenagers in Southern California and  knew right away they had something special.  After many years of dating Charlie decided it was time to take the next step and make Mia his wife.  The lovely couple came to Flagstaff to ring in the 2011 New Year with Charlies family.  Charlie decided to surprise Mia and pop the question at midnight while they stood outside the Weatherford Hotel counting down and watching the  pine cone drop.   So when it came to picking a wedding location Mia said it just had to be a winter wedding at Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club.   With the help of KD Event Designs  Mia & Charlie had an absolutely gorgeous wedding with rustic but elegant touches.   The couple also included their best friend Oscar, we just LOVE when puppies are included in the wedding!  Congratulations to the newlyweds!

On a beautiful September afternoon in Sedona, Wendy and John became husband and wife.  Melissa and I felt so honored to be their wedding photographers and capture their amazing wedding.  Wendy and Jon were married  atop a ridge in Sedona overlooking the red rocks at Sky Ranch Lodge . Can you imagine anything more magical?  The couple traveled with their families to this amazing outdoor location for a intimate destination wedding.  Wendy had such a gorgeous gown, if fit her perfectly!  All of the floral design by Amy at Bliss floral was perfect for this scenic location.  Amy used beautiful succulents and proteas to add a very rustic and textural feel.
