I met Kim though the Safekids Program at the Coconino County Health Department. If you have a child in the Flagstaff Unifed School District, she’s the gal that’s encouraging them to walk or bike to school with the Safe Routes to School Program. She’s the kind of lady who really lights up the room, always so postive and upbeat. Over the years, in getting to know her more, I’ve come to find out that she’s also kind, generous and has about the most adorable soul you’ll ever run into. And, her family is just like her. We had a blast at Thorpe Park doing their family portraits! They also brought along their furry family members, which we adored. The mastiffs, Elinore and Truman, and little Maggie, stole the show! Thank you for trusting us with your memories and we hope to see you all again soon!
This past week I got the chance to photograph two of my dearest friends, Jeanine and Stu. These two are an absolute joy to be around; they are funny, sweet, loving and kind. They love their fur-babies just as I love mine and their laughter and smiles will always have a way of making any day brighter. I was delighted to find out that Jeanine’s parents, George and Martha, would be joining us for the shoot. Too often, I hear from parents of adult children…”I don’t want my photo taken…there’s no need…” I happen to think images of an adult with their parents are just as sweet as when they were holding their infant decades before. In fact, I think it’s almost even more precious. The years, experiences, love and life have a way of deepening bonds. I adore these photos of Jeanine and her parents, and I know, she’s going to love them even more in 20 years.
How cute is the Meiners Family?! Since the Meiners have a family filled with boys we decided to meet at the train on the Pioneer Museums property. We thought the boys could have fun climbing around and occassionally stop to grab a few photos:) Well, I think our plan worked because we were able to get some really cute photos. I love the bright red color of the old caboose!
We can’t believe that little Kensie is Four months old! It seems like yesterday that we were at Flagstaff Medical Center waiting for her arrival. We always love using props in baby session and we adore this piece of luggage. Mom, Kristen, found this piece of luggage in an antique shop before she was married and decided to use it as a theme for Kensie’s photo sessions in her first year. Kristen and Adam took this luggage on their honeymoon, so it’s not only super cute, but ultra sentimental. We can’t wait to see you at your six month shoot little angel!
Melissa and I had the pleasure of photographing the Smith Families annual family portrait. The family spends a good portion of the summer at their beautiful home in Forest Highlands, perfect time and location for their family portraits. The Smith’s children love playing at the park outside of their home so it was only natural to capture them in their favorite spot. The beautiful pond, covered bridge, golf course, and beautiful family made it pretty easy for us to capture fantastic images.
Flagstaff has the most beautiful scenery and weather during the summer months. July usually brings the monsoon season which then brings colorful wildflowers, green ferns, and a lush forest. Below are some images from a few recent family photography sessions showing off one of our favorite times of the year . . . summer!
