One of our favorite places to photograph familes in Flagstaff is at Aspen Corner. The gorgeous place is just off Snowbowl Road on your way to the ski hill, and looks great in any season. And summer, well, summer is our favorite three months in Flagstaff when the lupines and sunflowers really pop in photographs. Being a Flagstaff family photographer really is fun, especially when your backdrops are so gorgeous.
We’ve loved getting to know the Martinez family over the years, and especially watching this little munchkin, Harper, grow. She loved being outside and playing in the outdoors. We’ve found that kids really relax when their outside and it’s a great time to plan for family photos. Thanks for trusting us with your memories! Can’t wait to see you again!
It’s hard to believe that Katie and Jim were married over five years ago at beautiful Sycamore Spring Guest House! (For those interested, sadly, they’ve decided not to offer weddings there anymore) We had so much fun at their beautiful 1950s styled wedding in Sedona and it’s been such a treat to watch their family grow. Katie, a Wellness Director for the City of Flagstaff and Jim, a physical therapist, wanted to do their family photos somewhere outside. This active family loves to hike and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Flagstaff. We chose Buffalo Park for their photos for the variety offered there, and for the beautiful light offered at sunset. It was a perfect evening and we loved watching the sun dip behind the trees as the boys laughed and giggled through the session. We love being Flagstaff family photographers, thank you for letting us be a part of your life Katie and Jim!
Baby Peter came in for studio portraits to celebrate being 6 months old! Look at those big blue eyes and smiles, I can’t wait to see him again at his 12 month photos!
We’ve been anxiously awaiting this little man’s arrival ever since Erin told us that he was on the way. We love watching our client’s families grow! It seems like yesterday that we did Harper’s newborn session and now she’s the proud and ever devoted big sister! We can’t wait to watch you grow up sweet Royce! Welcome to the world!
I met Kim though the Safekids Program at the Coconino County Health Department. If you have a child in the Flagstaff Unifed School District, she’s the gal that’s encouraging them to walk or bike to school with the Safe Routes to School Program. She’s the kind of lady who really lights up the room, always so postive and upbeat. Over the years, in getting to know her more, I’ve come to find out that she’s also kind, generous and has about the most adorable soul you’ll ever run into. And, her family is just like her. We had a blast at Thorpe Park doing their family portraits! They also brought along their furry family members, which we adored. The mastiffs, Elinore and Truman, and little Maggie, stole the show! Thank you for trusting us with your memories and we hope to see you all again soon!
This past week I got the chance to photograph two of my dearest friends, Jeanine and Stu. These two are an absolute joy to be around; they are funny, sweet, loving and kind. They love their fur-babies just as I love mine and their laughter and smiles will always have a way of making any day brighter. I was delighted to find out that Jeanine’s parents, George and Martha, would be joining us for the shoot. Too often, I hear from parents of adult children…”I don’t want my photo taken…there’s no need…” I happen to think images of an adult with their parents are just as sweet as when they were holding their infant decades before. In fact, I think it’s almost even more precious. The years, experiences, love and life have a way of deepening bonds. I adore these photos of Jeanine and her parents, and I know, she’s going to love them even more in 20 years.
