Julia and Bryan were married at Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club in Flagstaff, AZ on a picture perfect day. Julia’s gown was perfection, we loved the mermaid fit and the piles and piles of ruffles. Her vintage inspired updo went beautifully with it and those orange shoes were amazing! Bryan and his groomsmen looked very daper in their suits, and in case you’re wondering, they are all huge Star Wars fans. We laughed until we cried when they all busted out their own light sabers.
Afte the ceremony, we got a golf cart and explored some of the Golf course. The cinder hills are some of our favorite backdrops there, and of course the high grasses and expansive views of the golf course and the San Francisco Peaks! Being Flagstaff Wedding Photographers is pretty amazing. Congrats Julia and Bryan! Thank you for having us at your wedding!

Angela and Kyle were married at one of our favorite venues, Sky Ranch Lodge, in Sedona, AZ. We’ve always said they have some of the most beautiful views in the whole town, but every time we go there, it literally takes our breath away. Angela looked stunning in her lace and silk gown and her bouquet was a perfect blend of lavender, orange and white flowers, created by our friends at Bliss Extraordinary Floral. Kyle and the men wore classic suits and the bridesmaids looked stunning in their orange chiffon creations. This couple was a joy to work with, so full of laughter and sweetness for each other. We loved that Kyle could make Angela giggle just by looking at her a certain way, and the tenderness they demonstrated for each other made all our our hearts melt. It was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony led by Susanne Loo McCoy of Intimate Sedona Weddings. There were a couple of sweet hiccups in the ceremony, Kyle’s wedding band wouldn’t go on and the couple forgot the glass for the breaking of the glass ceremony, but Angela and Kyle only laughed and said it made for great memories. We’re so blessed to have such kind, loving and sweet clients like this. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! Mazel tov!

As wedding season soon approaches us, we thought it would be helpful to show off Pantone’s Color of the Year for Spring 2012! For those of you who aren’t familiar with Pantone, they are the fashion world’s color guru, spotting the hottest colors of the season and pairing them with shades that complement them perfectly.
This year, the title of the Color of the Year goes to Tangerine Tango, which Pantone calls “an enticing juicy orange… a vivacious and appealing refresher to enliven anyone’s look this spring.”
Other colors of the season are Solar Power, Bellflower, Cabaret, Sodalite Blue,Margarita, Sweet Lilac, Driftwood, Cockatoo, and Starfish, which can all be mixed and matched with Tangerine Tango to create a lively, fun look. Whether it be in your bouquet, cake, or an accent in a groom’s suit, Tangerine Tango looks fantastic in the details of a wedding. Need some inspiration? Here are some examples of what past brides have done to incorporate this bold color in their wedding!

Ever since Pantone announced that Tangerine was the Wedding Color of 2012, I’ve been thinking of this wedding we photographed at Lake Tahoe. Stephanie and Eugene used a pallet of tangerine and yellow to decorate their destination beach wedding at the Zephyr Cove Resort in Lake Tahoe. This morning, we received notice that this wedding was to be featured by our friends at Head Over Heels! I started looking at the images this morning and I just had to put together a blog post on this beautiful wedding. It seemed that every photo brought back so many memories for me. Everything seemed perfect at this event: the beautiful gown, the heirloom handkerchief, gorgeous flowers, Stephanie and Eugene’s sweet family and friends, the delightful speeches and of course, the handsome honorary groomsman, their dog Roscoe. I remember how we only had about two minutes to RUN to get to the rocky point we wanted to take sunset pictures at, and how I almost passed out from hyperventilating. But, in the end, my almost passing out with completely worth it. And, most notably, Stephanie beat me in a wedding dress and fancy heels. She’s a rock star! We hope you enjoy this post and a little reflection on that perfect weekend. Enjoy! ~ Melissa
