This couple came from the gorgeous area of San Francisco and San Diego to meet in Sedona to enjoy some quality time together.  They choose the Enchantment Resort and I can’t think of a more relaxing and rejuvenating place to be.  Once you’re on site, every care in the world just melts away as their staff makes your stay easy and restful.  If you’ve never been to the Enchantment, put it on your bucket list.  It makes for a luxurious and wonderful long weekend or week splurge.

Shaila and Jarod were so wonderful to work with and I loved getting to know them as we hiked along a trail in Sedona.  Since they live so far apart from one another it was important to them to choose a location where they could have some romantic quiet time and I loved that I was so lucky to have been able to document their relationship.  As the sun dipped below the horizon, I enjoyed using my off-camera-flash to capture some dramatic looks and dreamy sunset skies.  Being a Sedona photographer is such an amazing job, especially when I get to spend it with such wonderful and caring people like Shaila and Jared.

I hope you both enjoyed your trip and I can’t wait to see you next time!  xoxo ~ Melissa

Stephanie called us about a month before she and Greg were to arrive in Sedona to make an appointment for their 25th Anniversary portrait session.  Traveling from the Dallas area, Stephanie wanted the scenery to depict the classic Red Rock beauty that only Sedona can offer.    Originally, we were going to go up near Airport Mesa for the session, but Stephanie called the day before to announce that the couple had purchased property in Sedona that day and we both immediately agreed that the new property would be a perfect place for their portraits.    Needless to say, they were so elated about having finally (they’ve been looking for years) found the perfect property to build their new vacation home!  And, seriously, how perfect of an Anniversary gift is that?  Greg travels a lot for his work, so time with Stephanie, their son and rescue dog is always welcomed and I can’t even imagine a more perfect setting than this piece of land.  It was such a joy to spend time with these two; they are so very much in love and so gracious.  Congratulations on your anniversary and your new home-away-from-home!  ~ Melissa
